Bystřice Valley Nature Park

You are here:

The picturesque valley of Bystřice is situated on the edge of the Domašovská Highlands by the Bystřice River, which has created a deep rocky valley with canyons, rock spurs and stone seas.

The 97 km2 protected area was established to preserve the wild valley of the Bystřice River. The high bridges and tunnels on the Olomouc - Krnov railway line, which winds high above the river without disturbing the natural beauty of the landscape, are among its attractions. The four-kilometre stretch between the railway stations Jívová - Hrubá Voda - Smilov will certainly impress you the most.

The best way to get to know part of the natural park is to walk along the nature trail (length 7.1 km, number of stops 9, Svatý Kopeček - Radíkov). A network of cycle paths of varying length and difficulty also runs through the natural park.
