Dance hall in Račí valley

Javorník

Formerly, the Art Nouveau dance hall from the beginning of the 20th century was one of the most beautiful buildings in the whole wide area of Javorník and it is still one of the famous tourist attractions.

Popular walks were from Javorník, over Jánský vrch, Devil's pulpits, ruins of Rychleby Castle and back to Račí Údolí, or from Nové Vilémovice to Račí Údolí via Červený Důl.

Before the war, there were parties on Saturdays and tea and music on Sundays. The surroundings of the picturesque place are beautified by a park with rockeries, rhododendrons, ornamental trees and stylish outdoor seating. The park was built together with the Dancing House in 1903. It was a natural and landscaped lot with regular features in a central area in front of the staircase to the building.

The main area of the Dance Hall consists of a large "dance" hall, which is the backdrop for concerts, author readings, dance performances, workshops and weddings. The lower part of the building consists of a lounge and café, along with an information centre.Seating is also available in the area in front of the Dance Hall.

In summer, the park next to the dance hall can be used for relaxation, exercise and rest.
