Čertovy kazatelny (Devil's pulpits)

You are here:
Javorník

One of the most beautiful rock viewpoints is located on the way to the ruins of Rychleby Castle in the Rychleby Mountains.

From the viewing platform, which is located here, there is a beautiful view of the lower and canyon-like part of the Ráčí valley with dense, partly original forests. Just below the main rock there are several smaller rocks, some of which are also secured by iron railings. There is a wooden hiking shelter under the rock. This whole mysterious place is surrounded by a beautiful and very impressive beech forest.

From the geological point of view it is a bizarre formation of rune rocks above the valley of the Račí stream. In its lower part, a nature reserve was declared in 1998, whose mission is to protect the forest stands of a forest-like character.

The Devil's Pulpit is located on the route leading from the Račí valley (about 2 km from Jánský vrch in Javorník) and from the Art Nouveau Tančírna to the ruins of Rychleby Castle (total route Tančírna - Rychleby: 2.5 km, expect an elevation gain of about 100 m).
