The Litovel Brewery has been making high quality beer for over one hundred years. During the first Czechoslovak Republic (1918-1938) it was referred to as the Moravian Pilsner.
The Litovel Brewery has been making beer since 1893 and the brewery has followed up the Litovel tradition of beer brewing, of which we can find historic references since 1291.
The Royal Litovel Beer, a brand of beer that the brewery offers both at home and on foreign markets, is of exceptional quality and has won many prestigious awards from brewing experts at the most prestigious exhibitions and contests.
The Litovel Brewery is one of the few Czech breweries where beer is brewed in the traditional way. Only first-class ingredients are used and traditional technologies are maintained.
Tours are organised on weekdays between 10 am and 3 pm. The minimum number of guests per tour is 15. Three types of tours are available: without beer tasting (about 1 hour / CZK 50 per hour), with a small beer tasting (about 2 hours / CZK 100 per person) and with a large beer tasting (about 3 hours / CZK 150 per person).
The Litovel Brewery opened a microbrewery in its facility in which you can make your own beer according to your own recipe under the supervision of a brewmaster.
Visitors can make their own beer for their own consumption. They can brew beer according to either recommended recipes or their own recipes.
If you are interested brewing your own beer, reserve up to 11 hours of time. You will have to wait for another 1-1/2 to two months for the final result. However, in the meantime, you can check your beer while it is fermenting.
