Čechy pod Kosířem

Every year at the end of July, the traditional international meeting of master wheelwrights and carriage makers takes place.

This unique event, which presents the ancient crafts associated with carriage building, takes place over several days in the castle park in Bohemia pod Kosířem.

The best craftsmen of the Czech Republic, who participate in this prestigious event, demonstrate the processing of various materials: wood, iron, glass, textiles, leather, wicker, etc. at designated stations. Some of them have been awarded the title of "Carrier of Tradition" by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.

The event also features horse-drawn carriage "masters", stuntmen, young athletes, artists and musicians. You will also see various breeds of horses from all over the Czech Republic, from heavy draft horses suitable for work in the forest and in the field, to riding horses and carriage horses. A rich accompanying programme is prepared for visitors.
