Velký Kosíř, with its 442 m above sea level, is often referred to as the so-called. "The Haná Mont Blanc. From the lookout tower on its top you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Haná lowlands, the Drahanská vrchovina and, in good weather, even the silhouette of the Low Jeseník.
The lookout tower is 28 metres high and there are a total of 158 steps leading up to its viewing platform, which is 25 metres high. Visitors can use the restrooms and souvenir shop. There is a wooden shelter next to the lookout tower and several fireplaces. The lookout tower is part of the Velký Kosíř Nature Park, which is situated between the villages of Kostelec na Hané, Čechy pod Kosířem and Slatinice.
