The unique water surface of the moss pond at Rejvíz, with its wooden paths leading to it, makes an enchanting impression on visitors.

The Rejvíz lakes are shrouded in myths and legends - for example, about the flooded sinful city of Hunohrad, about the shepherd Gill, about the three roses, about the wheelwright's mallet, about the donkey's head and others. It is also said that those who are not sinful can still see the tower of the Hunohrad church under the lake's surface.

The greatest thickness of the peat was measured in the area of the Small Moss Pond at 6.60 metres. The Large Moss Pond is accessible by a nature trail along the hut path. The pond itself is up to 2.90 m deep with a surface area of 1,692 m2. According to the research of Dr. Robert Fahl, about 200 species of plants and grasses, 50 species of mosses and 50 species of insects grow in the peat bog. Among the rare fauna, the reserve is home to the blueberry yellowhammer, various dragonflies, wood mice, mud vipers, frogs, newts, etc. From plants we can see the golden-headed and bulbous lily, heather, sneezeweed, Sudeten resin tree, garlic-moss, bog pine, silver birch, scented lichen, Siberian rowan, and even the carnivorous round-leaved sundew.

The moss pools can be reached by a marked hiking trail (nature trail) directly from the settlement of Rejvíz (it is about 2 km), where there is a paid parking lot.
