The modern Arion's Fountain is located on the corner of the town hall. The sculptural decoration is based on the ancient legend of the Greek poet, singer and kithara player Arion, who was rescued from the waves by a dolphin attracted by Arion's singing.
Arión's Fountain was built in 2002 as part of the extensive reconstruction of Horní nám. It is the work of local native sculptor Ivan Theimer and architect Angela Chiantelli.
