The traditional folk festival Ride of the Kings has been held in Doloplazy for over thirty years.
A team of about twenty riders first asks the parents for a boy to be king. After he mounts his horse, with a rose in his mouth so that he cannot give away his voice, they go round the buildings in the village and the king's summoners demand food and hay for the horses from the inhabitants. Just as they used to collect taxes for the king.
The riders on horseback are gradually joined by members of the organising ensemble Olešnica and foreign guests. They will form a procession that will pass through the village and end at the cultural centre, where the afternoon performance of the ensembles will take place.
