The underground system of the Javoříčské creates a complicated complex of passages, domes and abysses. They were formed in islands of Devonian limestone and the Špraněk stream contributed to their development. A significant part of the caves was discovered in 1938.

The Javoříč Caves are unique for their rich, well-preserved and varied stalactite decoration. It is one of the most beautiful caves in the Czech Republic. The total length of all known passages reaches over 4000 m. There are two sightseeing routes, the long one is 800 m long and the short one is 450 m long. The air temperature is 7 - 8°C.
